Seasons 10-11 are not confirmed but we imagine they will be added before too long. Who'd have thought one pregnancy would change the entire course of the show back in its heyday? All in all, this is a very good second season that heavily improves on what was good about its preceding season and I look forward to seeing what later seasons have to offer.The X-Files, along with the two movies, are available to stream via Star on Disney+.
I think it had to do with the opening scene giving me uncomfortable memories of Stephen King and Heavy Rain.
While "Die Hand die Verletzt" is considered to be one of the darkest episodes once it drops its black comedy facade, personally I found "The Calusari" to be the darkest episode of the season with the Donnie Pfaster episode a very close second. The acting is better, the production values are higher, secondary characters are fleshed out more, the new characters of Krycek, X and the Alien Bounty Hunter are memorable, there's a better balance between the two different types of episodes and the show isn't afraid to get into some darker topics that the first season was more reluctant to explore. While there are a few lacking, if not outright convoluted, episodes such as "3" and the mythology-disguised-as-an-MOTW-episode which hastily got rid of a character from the first season finale, The X-Files improves drastically in its second season.
